Beat down!

March 14, 2016 by Robert Houston

The feelings people express during this election cycle are not about the democratic, republican party, etc.  It’s about how they feel about their fellow-man.

We crowd into churches on Sundays and Wednesdays with Bibles in hand and come out expressing this type of hate and anger.

Remember, when you were a kid, and your parents gave you toys, etc., and when you demonstrated you were incapable of living up to their expectations – what did they do? With the mentioned situation in mind, what do you think our “Father” will do with us.  We are certainly falling short in meeting his expectations.

Please know it’s never been or will be about the Elephant or Donkey but the Lamb.

I don’t see or will I ever see the need to beat anyone down.  Life does that enough to people.  I encourage you to be a healer and a restorer of human dignity and hope.

Look for those you can lift and help them reclaim their self-respect and dignity.

Be a container filled with joy and release this healing power wherever you go, and greater favor will cover down on your life.

We walk around this world like we are in control; we are not now, and will we ever be in control.  Why, two major reasons – one, we are ruled too much by the flesh and not the spirit – two, we are made in the image of “God”; therefore, we are flawed.  We say we believe in “Him” and “Love” him; however, we are unable or unwilling to follow His directions – go figure.

Quote of the week: “There is a face beneath this mask, but it isn’t me.  I’m no more that face than I am the muscles beneath it, or the bones beneath that.”  Steve Moore “

Word of the week:  You –  something or someone closely identified with or resembling the person addressed.

Ask yourself:  Who am I?  Am I the person people see or the person I project through my behaviors/actions?

Speaking With a Purpose: “I help you bridge the gap between … Where you are versus where you want to be.”  My ultimate goal – help you become a better you!
